The prefix sol- may come from any one of a number of different Latin roots, depending on the actual meaning of the English word.

sol- as in solo, sole, solitary, solitaire, soliloquy and solano: Latin solus meaning single, alone, one without another

This photo was taken during Pilipinas Shell's Golf Tournament.
